Privacy Policy

Version v1 · Effective July 17, 2026

This policy explains how Termn Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use Termn.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • account, organization, and contact details;
  • agreement, participant, document, signature, workflow, billing, and support information you submit or authorize;
  • for trust-funding workspaces, the trust name you choose, governing state, generic asset labels and categories, customer- or professional-supplied instructions, requirements, task owners, follow-up dates, evidence summaries or files, professional-review state, explicit exclusions, and completion records;
  • for supported financing workflows, investor representations, identity or authority status, minimized bank-account metadata such as institution and mask, funding authorization evidence, provider references, transfer status, and return or reconciliation records;
  • email messages and attachments sent through supported Termn workflows; and
  • information in product, plan, developer, security, or support requests.

We also process technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as authentication events, device and browser information, IP address, request identifiers, logs, API-token metadata, workflow or delivery status, and privacy-preserving marketing attribution such as entry path, CTA placement, campaign labels, and a random session-only identifier.

Termn does not ask for or store your online-banking username or password. An approved bank-linking or funding provider collects credentials and returns only the references and minimized account information needed for the authorized workflow.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, and support the Service, including to:

  • authenticate users and enforce access controls;
  • run the agreement workflows, notifications, signing, billing, API, and webhook features you request;
  • maintain audit, security, fraud-prevention, and reliability records;
  • respond to contact and support requests; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Termn does not use email open or click tracking in agreement workflows unless it is separately disclosed and controlled for the applicable customer use case.

3. How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us host, store, secure, deliver email, process billing, link or verify bank accounts, execute an authorized funding instruction, render documents, and support Termn, under contractual or technical safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell personal information.

Termn may use Google Analytics and Mixpanel to measure page views, campaign attribution, funnel activity, sign-in milestones, and app activation. These analytics events do not contain form answers, names, email addresses, agreement content, offering terms, investor identities, or bank information. Termn does not use them to build a cross-site advertising profile. An accepted contact request separately carries the attribution and information you chose to submit so the monitored team can respond and measure whether the request reached product activation.

The public trust-funding gap check sends only your yes-or-no selections, general asset categories and counts, selected offer, page source, placement, and campaign labels to marketing measurement. It does not send trust documents, free text, asset labels, institutions, values, account numbers, beneficiaries, or professional instructions.

4. Customer responsibilities

Organizations using Termn control the Customer Content and personal information they submit to the Service. They are responsible for providing notices, obtaining permissions, and honoring requests relating to their own workflows. Termn processes that information according to the customer's instructions and applicable law.

5. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, meet legal, accounting, dispute, backup, and security obligations, and maintain the audit record required for the workflow. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact legal@termn.ai. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our Service or legal obligations change. The current version is published on this page. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to legal@termn.ai.
